Boat upholstery by Hermes Auto & Upholstery

Brenda started the upholstery side of the business repairing car and truck seats. In 1989 the shop expanded into our current location to take on everything from boats and RVs to tractors, awnings and fine furniture.

Repair or recover?

Not every job needs a full redo. A single torn panel on a seat can often be replaced and matched so you’d never know. When the foam is shot or the fabric is failing everywhere, a full recover usually makes more sense. Bring it in and we’ll give you an honest recommendation either way.

How to get started

  1. Bring it in or send photos. Stop by with the piece, or call and we’ll talk through it first. For larger items, photos help.
  2. Pick your materials. We’ll go over fabric, vinyl and marine-grade options that fit the look, the use and the budget.
  3. Get a quote. You’ll know the cost and timeline before we start.
  4. We get to work. We’ll call you when it’s ready.

Common questions

Can you match my original fabric or vinyl?

Often, yes, especially for common automotive materials. When an exact match isn’t available, we’ll show you the closest options or suggest recovering the full panel so everything matches.

Can I bring my own fabric?

Call us first to talk it over. We’ll let you know if the material will hold up for the job and how much you’ll need.

How long does an upholstery job take?

It depends on the piece and our current workload. You’ll get a timeline with your quote.
